Longevity science is helping people today

Sam has been active most of his life. He played sports in school and remained active as a young adult. By anyone’s definition, he is fit, weighing just over 160 pounds.
But now that he’s turned 40, injuries he used to shrug off are affecting his lifestyle.
After years of treating symptoms like physical aches and pains and an inability to focus on some things, he wanted to tackle underlying issues. Sam turned to Everest Health Partners, a longevity health care practice Methuselah Foundation helped to establish, for a new approach to medical care.

Sam had a specific list of issues he wanted to tackle. In 2022, he found he suffers from attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), which may have contributed to focus issues he has experienced all his life. He wants to improve his mental health. He also wants to get stronger, relieve joint aches and pains, and improve his sex drive.
He’s talked about these things with doctors before, but those conversations never led anywhere.
“I had a feeling that doctors either didn’t care or that not much could be done,” he said.
Then he found Everest Health. The practice recommended several tests – including extensive labs, a brain MRI, and tests for both environmental and food allergies. The results surprised Sam. Turns out those sports injuries he had shrugged off had led to some minor brain injuries. Test results showed he has higher-than-normal prolactin levels, which can contribute to problems with reproductive health.
And he’s still learning more as results come back.
To address the issues, Everest Health prescribed a variety of lifestyle and dietary changes from the Protocol, along with testosterone boosters to address his hormone balance.
Today, Sam does daily stretch and flexibility exercises for 10 to 20 minutes to address stiffness and aches. He does strength and grip training three or four times a week, and he supplements with cardio twice a week.
With the help of Everest Health, Sam discovered that his past eating style was not fueling his body. Now that he has made some simple adjustments, he's seeing increased energy and vitality.
And he feels that he’s back in control of his health.
“I’m tackling problems at their root with a holistic approach, not just fighting symptoms or just accepting that things can't be changed,” he said.
He’s also started to embrace safety, training, and conditioning to prevent further sports injury while still doing the things he loves.
